Is Scream Queens appropriate for a 13 year old? ›

Very gory for a PG-13 show. A masked character has a chainsaw brought down onto their neck, which cuts through it and decapitates them. In an episode, a character's insides can be seen after a bloody kill off camera. Contains moments of moderate to strong violence and gore throughout the series.

With sharp dialogue, clever twists, and a great cast, this is a fun show for adult and teen horror fans, but it's too violent and vulgar for younger viewers. On the funny-to-scary scale, it lands somewhere between showrunner Ryan Murphy's Glee and American Horror Story.

Very exciting but some scenes you may have to skip as they can get awesomely sexual and gory and can have some rude humour. Please be aware there is a lot a of swearing and violence so it's up to you if you think your kid is mature enough to watch it!

overall, violence/gore, 4/5, sex and nudity, 2/5, language, 3.5/5. it's a thrilling movie with a classic plot and it's definitely worth watching. (i'd recommend older tweens and teenages to watch this movie and no one younger than 12 probably.)

The good news is SCREAM 3 has slightly less blood and not as many gruesome deaths as the previous movies. Sex and nudity are also gone.
